The Academy on Skills Development will take place on the ITCILO Campus from 24 June to 5 July 2019, with 75 participants from 32 different countries. The Academy will encompass all major topics in the Skills Development environment, with more than 40 experts contributing during the two-week period.
At 4 p.m. (Turin time) on Thursday 27 June, The Academy will be hosting a special event: a Symposium on Qualification Frameworks (QFs), which will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube at https://www.itcilo.org/en/areas-of-expertise/skills-development-and-vocational-training/academy-on-skills-development/livecampus
Around 150 countries have developed or implemented Qualification Frameworks (QFs) to improve the quality of their training systems and recognition of learning outcomes acquired in any context. Regional QFs have also been set up to facilitate integration and mobility.
What lessons have been learned? What are the most recent developments in QFs, especially in extremely flexible and technology-affected qualification systems? How do QFs interact with LMIS and quality assurance?
These are some of the hot topics that will be discussed here in Turin, with the participation of experts from the ILO, UNESCO, ETF and Unionlearn, during the Skills Academyorganized by the International Training Centre of the ILO.
