Le cours est disponible en English, Español

This Regional Programme aims to strengthen the strategic, organisational and institutional capacities of trade union leaders in the Americas to influence the construction of a new social contract in a context of multiple crises, structural transformation of work and democratic tensions. Framed within the six pillars of the ITUC's New Social Contract, with a special focus on the discussion of living wages, the programme addresses the erosion of the 20th-century development model, the growing concentration of transnational corporate power, digitalisation and algorithmic management, as well as the convergence between deregulation agendas and authoritarian political projects. Through strategic debates, power analysis, foresight exercises and the development of national and sectoral roadmaps, the course seeks to equip trade unions with tools to anticipate change, defend democracy and labour rights, promote redistributive justice and lead trade union revitalisation processes that reposition them as central actors in the democratic governance of the region.
