Protecting workers from biological hazards requires strong prevention, enforcement, and social dialogue. This interregional ONLINE course equips trade union representatives from Asia, Europe and Arab States  with practical tools to promote ratification and implement the ILO’s new international labour standards on biological hazards (C192/R209, adopted June 2025), strengthen risk assessment and prevention across sectors, including the impact of biological hazards on mental health at work, and negotiate effective OSH clauses through collective bargaining—with a strong gender perspective.

Take-away: participants develop a concrete Trade Union Action Plan for ratification and implementation of Convention No. 192, including prevention priorities, advocacy steps, bargaining strategies and gender-responsive measures.
