Structural transformation involves shifting production and employment from low to high-productivity activities, improving not only intra-sectoral productivity but also the quality of employment through rigorous enforcement of occupational safety and health (OSH) regulations and compliance at all levels. The implementation of robust OSH frameworks in supply chains is not only a necessity but also a crucial step that ensures the safety and well-being of workers, which in turn enhances productivity, a key driver in promoting structural transformation. As work precarity increases in supply chains, the active role of trade unions becomes increasingly crucial in strengthening occupational safety and health, both in law and in practice. Join this course that is designed to address the current and future occupational safety and health deficits within supply chains, as well as the intersecting impacts of digital, technological, and artificial intelligence (AI) transitions on supply chains and overall occupational safety and health.
