The instructional design coaching programme is a customized coaching service designed to help Employers’ and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) maximize the potential of their online training platforms based on Moodle. The coaching supports EBMOs in creating, designing, and delivering high-quality online courses, ensuring that their digital training services are engaging, effective, and aligned with members’ needs.

The programme includes group learning sessions, where participants exchange experiences and gain knowledge on key instructional design principles, and individual coaching sessions, where each EBMO receives personalized guidance to develop a fully functional online course. By the end of the coaching programme, each EBMO will have designed and launched an online training course tailored to their target audience.

How it works

The instructional design coaching programme is a personalized and hands-on support service designed to accompany EBMOs in developing high-quality online courses on their Moodle-based training platforms. Rather than a standard training session, this coaching programme focuses on tailored guidance and direct collaboration with course designers, ensuring that each EBMO receives customized support based on their specific needs.

The programme unfolds over a number of weeks and combines individual coaching sessions and group learning exchanges. 

Each EBMO selects a real course to develop and receives ongoing expert feedback throughout the process. The coaching covers key areas such as:

  • Defining clear learning objectives and structuring course content effectively.
  • Using digital authoring tools to create engaging learning materials.
  • Leveraging Moodle’s built-in functionalities to enhance the learning journey experience.
  • Optimizing course structure through restrictions, completion tracking, and interactive activities.
  • Finalizing and launching the course, ensuring a fully functional and engaging learning experience.

Through a combination of individual coaching sessions per EBMO, asynchronous discussions, and continuous expert guidance, the programme equips organizations with practical skills and confidence to design and deliver effective online training. 

By the end of the coaching, each EBMO develops a course ready to be launched on their platform.
