Gig economy

Gig economy

Representing the interests of workers in the platform economy

The Turin Centre first explored the gig economy in 2018 during its Summer School on the Future of Work, which was organized for young people from all over the world in recognition of the ILO’s 100th anniversary.

The gig economy is profoundly reshaping the world of work, especially for young people who must find new ways to represent their interests and bargain for better pay and working conditions.
