The Essentials in Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) is an online training program designed to foster a safe and healthy work environment across various organizations. This comprehensive course covers a wide range of essential topics, including the fundamentals of occupational safety and health, risk assessment, and accident prevention. Participants will learn about emergency responses, the proper use of personal protective equipment, and the importance of safety signage. Additionally, the course addresses specific workplace risks such as fire, electricity, hazardous substances, and ergonomics. It also covers critical areas like managing health crises, including COVID-19, and ensuring a safe workplace for young workers.
The EOSH programme is designed to be easily used by Employers’ and Business Member Organizations (EBMOs) for setting up new innovative training services on OSH for their members and to attract new ones.
The ITCILO can adapt the EOSH training programme to train other entities and organisations, according to their needs, including companies, ministries, other institutions and ILO constituents.
The course has an estimated duration of 45 to 70 hours of study, with a recommended timeframe of 9 weeks to complete the training.
Participants will receive either a Certificate of Achievement or a Certificate of Participation, depending on the training modality and successful completion of the final exam.
