EMERGENCY ACTION PLANS

Presentación del curso

Each year in every country around the world there are serious fire incidents and people will die or seriously injured due to the fire or resulting smoke. A contributing factor will be the inability to find safe passage to exit the building. The best approach to fire safety is to prevent fires in the first place. Proactive fire safety management helps to achieve this. When these incidents occur, protected escape routes that unobstructed along with established and well practiced fire safety management and evacuation plans are proven to reduce the likelihood of injuries and their impact. Those in charge of buildings have a major role in understanding which fire safety measures are needed to comply with local building and fire safety codes. Proactive management is critical to ensuring that building users are aware of their responsibilities in applying those measures where relevant fire safety inspectors should ensure factory owners and users clearly understand their role in preventing fires and provide the means of proper guidance for occupants to safely evacuate a building in response to such an incident. The course covers these issues and starts with the principles of fire prevention.
