Analytical study

This study was developed during the inception phase of the project “Promoting Rural Youth Employment in Afghanistan through Entrepreneurship Education and Vocational Training”, the aim of which is to provide a detailed analysis of the current situation in the country. It focuses on entrepreneurship education and on the promotion of entrepreneurship among young men and women in Afghanistan, particularly in rural settings.

It aims to offer a deeper understanding of the present circumstances, including an analysis of the risks and challenges but also, more importantly, of the country’s assets and rich potential. It will serve as a starting point for the development of training activities designed to raise awareness of the opportunities for business, entrepreneurship and self-employment for young men and women in Afghanistan. In addition, it highlights the role of entrepreneurship as a way out of fragile

situations through the creation of decent jobs and productive employment for all.
