Présentation du cours

Since the 1980s, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has developed a large number of programmes to help both entrepreneurs and workers improve occupational safety and health (OSH), working conditions and productivity in small and micro -sized enterprises (SMEs).These programmes are referred to as participatory action-oriented training (PAOT), indicating some of their most relevant characteristics: building on local practice; focusing on achievements; linking working conditions with other management goals; learning-by-doing; encouraging the exchange of experience; and promoting workers' involvement. This training activity is intended to disseminate PAOT programmes by increasing the capacity of tripartite constituent organizations, United Nations programmes and projects, training institutions and other intermediate civil society organizations in their delivery.
