Employment impact assessment is key to increase the effectiveness of policies intended to promote decent jobs. In times of crisis, as the one the world is currently facing, the importance of timely and accurate assessment is stronger than ever! In the light of these issues, this course aims at improving the design and implementation of policies for the creation of decent jobs by building the capacity of all relevant stakeholders to identify, measure and assess the employment effects of economic, sectoral, trade-related or labour market policies. Special attention will be dedicated to the assessment of employment impacts of pandemics like COVID-19.
