This face-to-face course is a specialised course part of the Master in Social Innovation for Sustainable Development. The course aims to provide a deep understanding of the eco-social impact of innovative sustainable development solutions. Through a theoretically-based and practically-oriented approach, it offers a review of the many different methodologies that could be used when describing the key aspects of the environmental and social impact of social innovation and will focus on the main techniques and methods of monitoring and impact evaluation. Participants will be able to identify and define the more appropriate indicators for measuring the eco-social impact of social innovation.

- Definition of Social Innovation: Defining social innovation and understanding its significance in addressing contemporary challenges
- Comprehensive Assessment Skills: Exploring the methodologies and tools for measuring and evaluating the impact of social innovation on both ecological and societal aspects
- Quantitative and Qualitative Methods: Quantitative and qualitative approaches for evaluating the ecological and social impact initiatives
- Eco-social metrics: Understand and apply relevant metrics to measure the environmental and social outcomes of innovative projects
- Data comprehension and navigation: Fundamental methods for managing data within the realm of environmental and social impact assessment in the field of social innovation

WHAT WILL I BE ABLE TO DO?
Participants will acquire tools and techniques to evaluate their impact on both the planet and society and respond to complex situations in their respective relevant fields. Methodology
The course is conducted through a dynamic training approach, merging theoretical and practical learning through interactive sessions. The course is designed to actively engage and inspire participants. Through a hands-on learning methodology, participants will engage with their environment through case studies, workshops, and collaborative group exercises.
Training phase and certification
The course is delivered face-to-face at the ITCILO Campus in Turin (Italy), from Monday to Friday. The course requires an overall commitment of 70 hours of active study/participation. Participants must participate in at least 90 per cent of the activity’s duration.
At the end of the course, an assessment of knowledge and competencies acquired will be undertaken. The successful completion of this assignment will result in an ITCILO Certificate of Achievement.
Payment, cancellation policy and refunds
Payments need to be received latest 14 days before the beginning of the course. Payment modalities will be communicated in the letter of acceptance.
If an enrolled participant wishes or must withdraw from a course, they may choose to apply to a different course or be substituted by another candidate. The participant must notify the Centre, in writing, of their decision at least 14 days prior to the start date of the course.
Cancellation of participation in regular courses will result in the following penalties:
- 14 days or more prior to the start date of the course: No penalty, 100% refund of amount paid less applicable bank charges
- 8 to 13 days prior to the start date of the course: Penalty of 50% of course price, refund of residual amount paid (if any) less applicable bank charges
- 7 days or less prior to the start date of the course: Penalty of 100% of course price
