International labour standards (ILS) adopted and supervised by the International Labour Organization provide a tried and trusted normative foundation to guide Member States for a human-centred approach to a world of work in need of resolute action to promote social justice and to fully implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Academy is a global event providing in-depth understanding of the comprehensive system of ILS and its application at national level. It involves focussed discussions, exchanges on common challenges and good practices, and networking with professionals interested in and working on standards-related matters.
