The ILO's International Labour Standards are a critical component of Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Rights Due Diligence. If they are to respect workers' rights, it is essential that companies have a solid understanding of the rights concerned. This course provides participants with the information, tools and networks they need to improve their skills in the field of labour-related human rights and core elements of effective HRDD.

  • Assess actual and potential adverse labour rights impacts
How does it work?

The course will be offered online through the ITCILO e-campus over a period of 4 weeks from 19 October to 13 November 2020, for an estimated total of 36 learning hours.

The course consists of three components:

  • Online learning: Flexible (asynchronous) self-guided online learning on e-campus
  • ‘Real time’ learning: Live interactive sessions through webinar and engaging video presentations by highly experienced trainers, blended with individual and collaborative group exercises, peer-to-peer assessment and online technical forums on e-campus
  • Assignments: You will be required to complete several short assignments and one end of course assignment . Participants who successfully complete all assessments and the final assignment will receive a Certificate of participation. Please note learning materials and tuition will be offered online in English and access to a computer with internet is essential.
