This blended Transversal Academy programme aims to strengthen the strategic capacities of trade union organisations to understand and respond to the profound demographic changes reshaping labour markets, social protection systems and migration dynamics across all regions of the world 

Aligned with the ILO Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions, the programme equips trade unions with a structured “demographic lens” to anticipate labour market transformations, address challenges related to ageing, youth transitions, migration and the care economy, and integrate these dynamics into bargaining, policy advocacy and organisational renewal strategies. Through a two-week online phase followed by a regional face-to-face week, the course promotes collaborative learning, the development of strategic tools such as the Demographic Lens Compass, and the training of trade union multipliers capable of advancing decent work, gender equality and intergenerational solidarity.
