The ITCILO has successfully launched a course entitled “Access of refugees to the labour market and improving their resilience”, with the participation of 37 practitioners from public institutions in Turkey.

This training activity has been specifically co-designed by the Social Protection, Governance and Tripartism Programme (SPGT) and the Jobs for Peace and Resilience (JPR) Programme to address the learning and operational needs of Turkish constituents currently involved in fostering the labour market integration of refugees in their country.

With 37 participants, of whom 56 per cent are women, the course explores best international practices in designing and promoting strategies to create market-driven livelihood opportunities and foster the economic integration of refugees through formalization and better governance.
