International labour standards

International labour standards

A legal framework drawn up by governments, employers, and workers from around the world

The Turin Centre delivers capacity development activities to promote the ratification and to strengthen the application of international labour standards covering all matters related to work.

International labour standards lay down the basic minimum social standards that ensure a level playing field in the global economy and impact peoples’ lives.

They are backed up by a unique and multidimensional supervisory system, which ensures that member States apply them in law and in practice.
