Introduction to the course

Gender equality remains a central priority for trade unions across Europe. Yet significant challenges persist in the world of work.

Women continue to face gender pay gaps, occupational segregation, underrepresentation in leadership, and violence and harassment at work. At the same time, the digital and green transitions are transforming labour markets and creating new risks and opportunities for equality.

To support trade unions in addressing these challenges, the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) and the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO), through ACTRAV, developed this MOOC on Advancing Gender Equality in Trade Unions and the World of Work.

This course provides practical knowledge, tools and strategies to strengthen gender-responsive approaches in trade unions and workplaces across Europe.
