Short description

Employers’ and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) have the power to positively influence policy making while providing quality services to members. Customer relationship management (CRM) systems facilitate these goals by supporting member recruitment, retention strategies, and much more. The ITC-ILO’s new CRM database is a professionalizing tool which will render higher efficiencies when it comes to membership management. The database, built with an open-source technology, is customizable and user-friendly. Over the past five years, it has helped more than 60 national and 25 sectorial EBMOs manage membership data and improve communication efforts.

The CRM allows EBMOs to:

  • Register, share, and search members’ information
  • Monitor and assess interactions with members, such as provision of services
  • Create mailing lists and send communication materials to members
  • Utilize invoicing and other financial services
  • Control different access levels and data storage options

Availability

The CRM tool is valued around €20,000.

If more installations are done, the cost decreases.

Interested EBMOs should contact the ITC-ILO to receive a preliminary assessment, which facilitates our selection of eligible organizations.

Partial financial assistance is available. However, EBMOs should cover the following costs:

  • Prepare current database for transition to CRM
  • Provide venue and equipment for installation
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for participants (if needed)
  • Host database on the cloud or on-site server
  • Identify in advance the relevant customizations
  • Manage workshops, manuals, and tutorials
