The 2026 edition of the GLOBAL FORUM on MLC, 2006 will be an opportunity to discuss the effective enforcement of the Convention twenty years after its adoption, in a context marked by geopolitical instability, conflicts and wars.

Join us for the FREE high-level webinar “MLC, 2006: Enhancing impact on board” on 30 September (from 13:30 to 16:00 CEST). IMO, ILO, ITF and ICS leaders and other key stakeholders from across the maritime sector will come together to discuss the implementation of the MLC, 2006. The conversation will explore: strengthening implementation of the Convention by Flag States and Recognized Organizations; the steps needed to turn the recognition of seafarers as key workers into concrete protection, and the fundamental role of social dialogue in making this happen.
