Présentation du cours

Mainstreaming, in combination with targeted measures, is the key strategy for achieving the inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities and their human rights. Ensuring equal opportunities and treatment in a world of work recovering from the pandemic is essential to deliver on the promise of leaving no one behind. The United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) provides the foundation for sustainable and transformative progress on disability inclusion through all pillars of the work of the United Nations. United Nations inter-agency networks and the internal networks of the various entities, such as UNDIS focal points, including Country Team Focal Points, will proactively support the implementation of the policy and the main elements of the Strategy and play a catalytic and coordinating role in meeting and exceeding the requirements for UNDIS indicators. The course will guide UN staff in exploring strategies and tools for identifying and addressing obstacles to disability inclusion and the empowerment of persons with disabilities in their context.
