This module aims to provide you with a basic understanding of ILS - what are they, what the reasons are for their development, what their characteristics are, what their relevance is, how are they used, how are they adopted, promoted and supervised, what the subjects they cover are, and what their content is. It has been developed in close collaboration with the relevant technical department/programme, and requires approximately two hours of learning time (40 minutes per section).

What will I learn?
  • Understanding of what ILS are, the reasons for their development, their relevance and how they are used today.
  • Understanding of how ILS are adopted and promoted, and how their application is supervised.
  • Knowledge of the subjects covered by ILS, and their content.
How is the course organized?
  • Knowledge assessment at the start and at the end of the course. 
  • Three substantive sections, with the last one which is optional.
  • Interactive and engaging approach.
