We provide institutional assessment of Employers and Business Membership Organizations (EBMO) by evaluating their structure, governance, effectiveness, and impact. The assessment identifies strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement to enhance organizational efficiency and influence. 

Our assessment examines ten areas: 

• Mission, vision and current strategy
• Representativeness and membership 
• Governance 
• Management
• Secretariat and human resources
• Financial Resources 
• Policy influence and advocacy
• Service provision 
• Communication 
• Relations/competition with other business organizations (or BSS providers)

Employers and Business Membership Organizations

Receiving an external perspective and benchmarking against similar institutions helps EBMO leadership gain a fair understanding of key areas for improvement. Our team will compile a report with targeted recommendations to support the senior management team and Board of Directors in making informed decisions to elevate the organization to the next level. Depending on the assessment outcomes, this process may also guide the development of a membership strategy or a comprehensive strategic plan.

Our methodology consists of a mix of desk research as well as semi-structured and open interviews and/or focus groups with key stakeholders to understand the EBMO functioning and the gaps between EBMO current capacity and members’ needs.
