As fiscal and geopolitical pressures intensify, leaders in international and national public institutions are operating in increasingly complex conditions, where organizational transformation has become a constant reality rather than a one-off reform. The NextGen Organizational Transformation Academy is a space for leaders to pause, reflect, and reimagine how their institutions evolve and perform. Through a blended learning experience - combining online engagement, a face-to-face immersion in Turin, and individual coaching - the Academy creates space for leaders to step back from operational pressures and engage more deliberately with the strategic dimensions of organizational transformation. Participants explore what it means to lead transformation within and across public service, with a focus on system-level thinking, strategic leadership, and peer exchange. Whether navigating institutional reform, advancing digital and organizational innovation, or leading through uncertainty, the Academy supports leaders in strengthening their capacity to guide sustained change with clarity and confidence. Throughout the programme, participants engage with four interlinked areas of organizational transformation: - Leadership development - Change management in public institutions - Digital transformation, data, and emerging technologies in government - Financing, partnerships, and resource mobilisation These themes are explored through case-based learning, structured dialogue, and applied reflection - supporting leaders to approach organizational transformation in ways that are deliberate, collaborative, and grounded in real institutional practice.
The Academy is designed for leaders, decision-makers, and advisors from international and national public service institutions, including governments, public agencies, and international or intergovernmental organizations, who have responsibility for shaping, leading, or influencing organizational and system-level transformation.
The Academy offers a blend of online and in-person learning, structured into three distinct phases:
Upon completing all three phases, participants will receive an ITCILO Certificate of Achievement – recognising their full engagement across the Academy’s core themes and their commitment to leading meaningful transformation in their context.
