Training Program on responsible business conduct (RBC)

Self-guided
The course is available in English
Introduction to the course

Promoting responsible business conduct (RBC) among companies is essential to building economic growth and business performance on respect for and promotion of the Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (FPRW). When RBC is integrated throughout a company's operations and business relationships, it can strengthen competitiveness, resilience and long-term sustainability. RBC goes beyond philanthropic or charitable activities undertaken outside a company's core business. It is about how a company manages its operations and relationships to prevent and address adverse impacts, while enhancing its positive contribution to business and society. RBC is particularly important for companies operating across countries and jurisdictions, and for those working with multiple suppliers and business partners. A consistent approach to RBC and to the respect for FPRW can help companies identify and manage risks, meet applicable legal requirements, and align their practices with internationally recognized labour standards.
