Strategic Management of TVET Centres
1 June–10 July 2026
This course is part of the AI-Augmented Skills Development pathway: a selected set of courses designed to strengthen the competencies of TVET actors, enabling them to design, deliver, and engage confidently and responsibly in AI-augmented education and training systems.
Introduction to the course
Modern TVET centres are no longer just training providers; they are skills ecosystem hubs. This course prepares leaders to move beyond day-to-day administration toward strategic decision-making, performance management, and effective AI integration. A distinctive feature of the course is its focus on practical AI competence for TVET management. Participants learn how to use AI as a management support tool.

- TVET Centre directors and managers. - Senior staff of Ministries of Labour, Education, or Skills Development. - Heads of training and quality assurance units. - Professionals involved in TVET reform and skills development.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, you will have enhanced your ability to:
- Apply systemic and strategic analysis to steer TVET centres within national skills development systems.
- Use institutional and labour-market data to support informed planning and prioritization, and decision-making.
- Define and monitor performance indicators to improve institutional effectiveness.
- Understand competency framework, workforce planning and the links between staff skills, motivation, and outcomes.
- Master financing models, stakeholder engagement mechanisms and the role of social dialogue in TVET sustainability.
- Design data-informed improvement actions for inclusiveness and equity.

- Foundation Building Phase (Self-Paced): Self-paced modules, forums, quizzes
- Core Learning Phase (Live webinars): Interactive webinars and peer exchange
- Consolidation Phase (Practical Impact): Strategic improvement plan
Certification
Participants who complete at least 80/90 % of synchronous (live webinars) and asynchronous (required tasks) learning activities, as well as the mandatory assignment will receive:
- A Certificate of Participation/Achievement.
- The AI-Augmented Skills Development digital badge, recognizing the AI competencies acquired.
