NORMATIVE WEBINAR

This webinar seeks to increase ILO constituents capacity to participate fully and effectively at all stages of the normative cycle, which is critical to ensuring that standards have impact in all situations and in respect of all working people in need of protection.

• Government officials responsible for matters relating to ILS, including the fulfilment of the reporting obligations laid down by the ILO Constitution.
• Representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations responsible for ILO matters, in particular members of national tripartite committees.
• Officials of the ILO and the United Nations system.

• To access updated information about the modernized standards system and its functioning.
• To be better equipped to engage actively with the normative system, including through ratification and reporting by governments (on ratified Convention, on unratified Conventions and on Recommendations) and submissions by the social partners.

• The streamlining of reporting on ratified Conventions.
• The General Survey to be prepared by the Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations in 2026 for discussion by the Conference Committee on the Application of Standards in 2027 on the Termination of Employment Convention (No. 158) and Recommendation (No. 166), 1982.
