Organizamos eventos de grande escala.
We manage in-person and online events – such as conferences, forums, and meetings – and position them on the global stage.
Our partners rely on us for the organization, facilitation, and communication of events and meetings. We do it all, from online fairs to augmented and virtual reality-powered meetings, from communities of practice to high-level conferences abroad. Our goal is to unlock scale effects and promote innovative, blended learning to improve the world of work.
We use a proven set of practices and draw on our in-house expertise in topics as varied as design, promotion, logistics, evaluation, and reporting to create events of different size and scope. Like much of the work we do, events and meetings are available in online or face-to-face formats, or a blend of both.
For example, in 2022, we were responsible for communication and advocacy around the 5th Global Conference for the Elimination of Child Labour. Our team developed a communication ecosystem which included channels such as the official website, the social media #RaiseYourHandForKids challenge, an app for in-person Delegates, and a weekly newsletter.
We also adapted to the hybrid format of the event, which took place both in person in Durban, South Africa as well as online through live stream video conferencing platforms. And, with more than 10,000 total participants joining from all over the world, we ensured the live stream was available in three different languages.
The ITCILO also handled on-site branding, from banners to informational signs, as well as virtual reality components. For example, participants watched the ILO Dreams of Gold virtual reality experience using our Oculus headsets. There was also a holobox that helped bring speakers and children center stage.
Coordination with stakeholders, including the ILO and the Government of South Africa, proved crucial to the success of the event. In total, we reached more than 500,000 people using the hashtag #RaiseYourHandForKids. Celebrities and global leaders including former ILO Director-General Guy Ryder and South Africa Minister of Labour TW Nxesi joined the challenge.
Digital inclusion isn’t about hardware or software, it’s about mindware. And that’s why we hosted the Digital Inclusion Summit in July 2021 to unite more than 100 like-minded individuals, organizations, and policymakers shaping the future of learning.
This two-day online event featured multilingual thematic tracks and participatory inclusion challenge labs to find actionable solutions toward greater accessibility, digital literacy, and digitally inclusive services and content.
As an encore to the summit, the Digital Inclusion Knowledge Fair showcased over 20 innovative and impactful initiatives from across the globe. This fully virtual setting enabled the meaningful exchange of knowledge between digital inclusion experts and practitioners.
To spread the word, the ITCILO also launched a communication campaign featuring artists from nearly 100 countries through the Posterheroes poster competition. The artworks along with 4 radical ideas and 42 crowdsourced ways to take action featured in the award-winning 4–42: Digital inclusion book.
The event and campaign contributed to building a wider community of practice reaching thousands of digital inclusion changemakers. Spin-off awareness-building events with the European Commission and local universities continue to expand this radical movement to leave no one behind online (and offline).
